Business Development Manager

Drive strategic partnerships and expand our client base across the digital asset ecosystem.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our market making partnerships. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing deals with cryptocurrency exchanges, token issuers, and institutional clients globally.

You'll work closely with our trading, legal, and operations teams to structure bespoke liquidity solutions that meet client needs while aligning with our risk parameters. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy and direct visibility to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with prospective exchange partners, token projects, and institutional clients seeking liquidity solutions
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and deal closing
  • Structure market making agreements and negotiate commercial terms that balance client needs with firm objectives
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand partnerships
  • Represent LQD Markets at industry conferences, events, and meetings globally
  • Collaborate with trading and operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing service delivery
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the digital asset space
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform product development and strategy

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business development or sales experience in financial services, fintech, or digital assets
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, market making, and liquidity provision
  • Established network of contacts at cryptocurrency exchanges, token projects, or institutional crypto firms
  • Proven track record of closing complex B2B deals and meeting revenue targets
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel for industry events

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at a market maker, trading firm, or cryptocurrency exchange
  • Understanding of DeFi protocols, AMMs, and on-chain liquidity
  • Background in traditional finance or institutional sales
